Modular rows distribution systems with refeed feature
The MDS Series by HBTS is a modular flexible system to transfer fragile or critical products coming from the processing in set rows by means of a pivoting end belts. Primarily used in the confectionery industry after moulding or enrobing machine as well as in the biscuits, cakes and wafers industry for controlled row by row feeding to the packaging machines. Direct refeed from storage belt at the end of the system. Although any MDS system is normally set to evenly handle the incoming rows of product over a number of wrapping legs the concept of this distribution system allows, in case of wrapping leg downtime, and within a limited percentage, to increase automatically the taking ratio of the wrapping legs still in operation until the downtime issue is solved. The refeeding operation is available over the last, spare wrapping leg, by means of the reverse pivot end of the storage conveyor. The rows receiving and feeding units, located under of each pivot conveyor, are extractable for easy and full access for maintenance and cleaning purposes. The MDS system is available in two different transfer mode: indirect and soft transfer particularly suitable for difficult or fragile products and in several widths.
